Love cockatoos!

Finally, I got the photo of me w/my grand-cockatoo, Katy. It's my son's girlfriend's bird, and I had the pleasure of petting it while I was visiting. It's part blind and part deaf, but it's the sweetest thing (when it isn't breaking its toys just to be stinky). I had the best time snuggling up with her, and I loved watching her spread her beautiful wings!

I think I've become more enchanted by birds since my mother died. I like to think that sometimes a cardinal in the yard is a sign from her - or even a chipmunk or a goldfinch. Anyway, I wanted to post this photo so you could see how adorable little Katy is. Have a nice night!
